Bespoke Nike Dunks for Gareth Southgate's 100th Game as England Manager.

In a remarkable milestone for English football, Gareth Southgate recently celebrated his 100th game as the manager of the England national team. To commemorate this significant achievement, we at CANVVS orchestrated a special activation in collaboration with Nike, featuring the exceptional craftsmanship of renowned Australian shoe maker Chase Shiel.

The Concept

We wanted to create a unique tribute to honour Gareth Southgate's remarkable journey and unwavering dedication to the England team. The idea was to craft a pair of bespoke Nike Dunks that not only reflected the iconic colours of the England kit but also incorporated personalised details that resonated with Gareth’s inspiring leadership.

The Creation

Chase Shiel, a master in bespoke sneaker craftsmanship, was the perfect choice for this project. Known for his meticulous attention to detail and innovative designs, Chase brought our vision to life with extraordinary skill.

The custom Nike Dunks were designed in the classic England kit colourway - white with red and blue accents, symbolising national pride. But these sneakers were more than just a nod to the team’s colours; they were a canvas of personal touches that paid homage to Gareth’s journey and philosophy.

Personalised Details

One of the standout features of the bespoke sneakers was Gareth Southgate's go-to phrase, "Anything is possible," elegantly embroidered on the shoes. This phrase encapsulates Gareth's belief in the team’s potential and his motivational spirit that has inspired players and fans alike.

Additionally, the shoes included other personalised elements, such as the England crest and initials on the tongue tab. Each detail was carefully considered to create a meaningful and personal tribute.

The Presentation

The grand reveal took place ahead of the Euro 2024 Semi Finals, a fitting stage for such a celebration. The sneakers were not just a gift, but a symbol of appreciation and respect from the entire football community.
