MEET MIKAELA
Hey! I’m Mikaela, a 23 year old professional artist specialising in custom sneakers and apparel. I am the face behind Sneaker Queens Customs, where I balance skill-fully executed personal projects and an ever growing array of client commissions from both unique individuals and big brand names alike. My work always includes thoughtful personal touches that I hope really shine through in the details. I have been hand painting shoes for 4 years now and have made my mark in my field with my unique style. I got into customising immediately after dropping out of college. I felt called to pick up the paint brush again after wrongfully assuming that you can’t make a career out of being an artist. I decided to use sneakers as my canvas so I could stand out from the crowd, and the journey has been nothing short of an incredibly unique adventure!
ABOUT
My signature anxiety swirls can be found in a variety of sneaker colour ways and styles. The swirls give me the creative freedom to paint them in a way that expresses the emotion I’m dealing with at the time, which in turn makes for a completely 1 of 1 sneaker.The swirls signify more than just wiggly lines. They represent not only an emotion, but a turning point in my career that has led to numerous brand collaborations, projects, and even a newfound sense of confidence within my art space. Utilising sneakers and my creativity to express my emotions has fostered an even deeper meaning within the art I create that I really take pride in.
