MEET JEFF
I am Jeff Crew, a Sydney based sneaker artist working under the brand Grail Crew customs. As a lifetime artist, I started working with sneakers in 2017 doing pairs for family and friends. After winning the Ace Of Customs at Sneakercon Melbourne I started to take the whole thing a little more serious and since then I’ve worked with multiple pro basketball players, media personalities and musicians as well a bunch of regular sneakerheads like myself.
ABOUT
I got into customisation as a hobby close to 5 years ago. I won a competition about 4 years ago and started taking it a little more serious. Over the last couple of years I’ve been making moves to make my art as a full time gig.
A lot of different things inspire me and my art but more often than not it’s manga/anime and street art/graffiti culture. I love to to experimented with new techniques and constantly improve. Recentlyy I've done a lot with new ways of ageing, layering paint and distressing layers with new pair's. I've also never had any formal art training so portrait work is something I’ve accidentally become somewhat proficient at by way of commissions.
